Laura Fine’s campaign surpasses 80+ endorsements in bid for Congress
Northbrook, IL – Laura Fine’s campaign for Congress in Illinois’ 9th District announced new endorsements today from state and local leaders, bringing her total to more than 81 endorsements — the broadest coalition in the race.
The new endorsements include Bob Israel, Elliott Hartstein, George D. Alpogianis (Mayor of Niles), Jojo Hebl, Linda Holmes, and Sandy Hart.
“I’ve been around long enough to know the difference between politicians who talk and leaders who deliver,” Niles Mayor George D. Alpogianis said. “Laura Fine is the real deal. She’s tough, she’s honest, and she never backs down from a fight when it comes to doing right by the people she serves. In Congress, she’ll be exactly what we need—someone who cuts through the noise, stands her ground, and delivers results. That’s why I’m proud to stand with her.”
“I’m honored to have the backing of respected leaders from across Illinois. They know what it takes to deliver for our communities,” Senator Fine said. “Together we’ve expanded access to health care, strengthened our schools, and protected reproductive freedom — and I’m ready to take that work to Washington.”
Fine is the Senate’s fierest consumer champion in the race, with a 100% rating from Citizen Action Illinois, and recognition from nearly two dozen organizations for leadership on health care, reproductive rights, mental health, and clean energy. She has served for 13 years in the state legislature, delivering results that improve the lives of Illinois families.
