LAURA FINE LATEST AD: ‘FIGHTER WE NEED’
Glenview, IL — State Senator Laura Fine, candidate for Illinois’ 9th Congressional District, has released her second television and digital ad, “Biggest,” highlighting her role in winning Illinois’ biggest fights against Trump and the special interests on behalf of working families. The ad highlights Senator Fine’s role passing major legislation taking on the insurance companies, holding ICE accountable, guaranteeing abortion access and reining in corporate polluters.
Senator Fine has emerged as one of Illinois’ most effective lawmakers, with more than 190 bills passed into law. Her record includes landmark consumer protection measures that have lowered costs and helped make Illinois one of the most consumer-friendly states in the country. She recently filed legislation barring anyone hired by Immigration Customs Enforcement (ICE) under Donald Trump from obtaining employment with state or local law enforcement. Senator Fine previously championed legislation that banned civil ICE arrests in and around courthouses, expanded “sensitive location” protections to schools, hospitals and daycares, created a state cause of action to allow people to sue after violations of their constitutional rights and restricted state and local cooperation with federal immigration enforcement.
Senator Fine’s first ad introduced the personal experience that first propelled her into public service: a devastating car accident that left her family navigating a broken insurance system. Her paid media program comes after nearly 100 local endorsements and a strong fourth quarter of fundraising that brought Fine’s campaign to nearly $2 million to-date in this election cycle.
